ORVAL GENE WATKINS
1932 - 2014


Orval Gene Watkins, Choctaw, Oklahoma resident, formerly of Agra, Oklahoma, was born on June 11, 1932, in Tryon, and departed this life Saturday, August 23, 2014, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, at the age of 82 years.
Orval was the son of Orval F. and Lennie Ely Watkins.
He married Mary Ellen Story, on July 25, 1952, in Agra, Oklahoma.
Orval served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was retired from Tinker Air Force Base.
His parents, wife, one daughter, Debra Lynn; one brother, and one sister-in-law, preceded Orval in death.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Rebecca Watkins of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Jeff and Angie Watkins of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Terry and Diana Watkins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Loretta Watkins of Drumright, Oklahoma, Walter and Wanda Watkins of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Jack and Cheryl of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two sisters, and brother-in-law Wilmetta Waddell of Corydon, Iowa and Barbara and Frankie Lane of Cushing, Oklahoma, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler, Oklahoma.
Burial will follow at Tryon Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
