MARSHALL LEE WALLIS

20 Aug 1938 - 6 Feb 2017

Marshall Lee Wallis was born in Chandler, Oklahoma on August 20, 1938 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the age of 78 years.

Marshall was the son of Charles and Cannie (Kilgore) Wallis. He was a resident of Stroud most of his life. He retired in the United States Navy SeaBees after 20 Years with Honorees, Retired Chief E7, Navy achievement Medal w/combat service "V", Navy Unit commendation Ribbon w/3Bronze Stars, Navy Meterious Unit Citation Presidential Service Certificate, Good Conduct Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Metal w/1 Silver & 2 Bronze Stars, Campaign Medal w/ Device 1. Run Meritorious Unit Citation Gallantry Cross, after he returned he started his own Electric Contractor in Stroud for 35 years. He loved to fish, hunt mushroom, watch westerns and hunt arrowhead. He married Leta Jo McCarthy and she preceded in death February 4, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Cannie Wallis, brothers Jack, Lawrence and Darrell, sisters, Ida Sullenger, Opal Spencer Juanita Plattenburger.

Survivors include, one son, Charles Mitchell Wallis of Stroud, one daughter, Kinda Marie (Wallis) Leupold & husband, Brian of Shillington, PA., two brothers, Bud Wallis & wife Grace of Lubbock, TX, Kenny Wallis Okemah, Oklahoma, & Wayne Wallis of Idaho, one sister Aileen Goode of Arkansas, Five grandchildren, Tayven Allen Wallis of Stroud, Levi Marshall, Logan Micheal, Brianna Marie, Brody James all of Shillington, PA. other relatives and friends.

The family would like to give a Special Thanks to Donna Messer, Diana Stobaugh, Beau Bokowski, John Sullenger, Cannie Smith and Chrystal & Eric McPherson.
