S. W. WALKER
1977 - 2012


S. W. "Dub" Walker died Monday at his home in Meeker at the age of 80.
He was born November 25, 1918, in Meeker, the son of Elmer and Ethel Taft Walker.
He worked on the railroads for thirty two years before retiring and was Baptist.
He married Helen Holder on October 2, 1944, at Aydelotte.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; and one son, William E. Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Walker, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Carol Walker, Meeker, James R. and Viola Walker, McLoud; and Debra Walker, Green Forest, Arkansas; daughter, Fern Walker, Meeker; brother-in-law, Wayne Holder, Enid; sister-in-law, Christina Landes, Ponca City; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as numerous friends and loved ones.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. today at New Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Pence officiating.
Visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker until 1:00 p.m. today with the family receiving from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Prague.
