DOROTHY PEARL WAKLEY
1927-2012


Dorothy Pearl Taylor Wakley was born February 15, 1927 in Chandler, Oklahoma and passed away October 11, 2012 in Chandler at the age of 85.
She married Roy Wakley October 17, 1945 in Davenport, Oklahoma.
Dorothy was a dairy farmer’s wife and homemaker and later in life retired from Wal-Mart in Chandler. She lived on the home farm northwest of Chandler for over 60 years.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wakley; parents Dempsey and Maggie Taylor; brother, C. L. Taylor; and sister Gracie Thornsberry.
She is survived by her three sons and one daughter and their spouses, Darrell and Vicki Wakley of Carney; JoAnn and Mike Crenshaw of Agra; David and Rhonda Wakley of Chandler; Mike and Cindy Wakley of Chandler; five brothers, Bill Taylor of Chandler; Roy Taylor of Sparks; Don Taylor of Moore; Ira Taylor of Wellston; and Jerry Taylor of Chandler; twelve grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
A funeral was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Chandler.
