BILLY JACK VAN WORTH
1937 - 2013


Billy Jack "Slim" Van Worth was born on January 10, 1937, in DeKalb Texas, and departed this life on Sunday, September 1, 2013, in Prague Oklahoma, at the age of 76.
Slim, the son of Charles and Alvie Van Worth, was a resident of Prague.
He married Patricia Johnston on July 3, 1965, in Tijuana, Mexico.
Slim was a welder all of his life. He also spent many years working for the City of Prague, as well as Barton Valve in Shawnee.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; five brothers, Charles, Alvin, Calvin, Jerry and Sonny, and a sister, Mary “Sis” Van Schuyver.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Becky Van Worth of Prague; step son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Stephanie Wortham of Little Axe; daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly "Cookie" Gustafson of Prague and Mary Van Worth and Rex Harrison of Prague; step daughters and son-in-law, Lorri and Russel Mathes of Arlington, Texas and Debbie Szczepan of Prague; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ludi and Joyce Van Worth of Ashland City, Tennessee and Jimmie and Emily Van Worth of Hugo; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley Ann and Tommy Edge of Hugo; grandchildren, Shane and Kerry Hibbert, Nickole Friend, Rocky Van Worth, Eric Van Schuyver, Brandy Wortham, Brian McCalister, Jeremy McCalister, John Martin, Jamie Martin, Candie Hale, Stefani Davis, Desirae Mize and Bryan Mize; twenty two great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Prague with Kevin Wehrli officiating.
Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague.
