CYNTHIA SUE VAN SICKLE
1966 - 2015


Cynthia Sue Rackley Van Sickle, age 49, a Chandler resident, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2015 with her family by her side.
Cynthia was born on May 20, 1966 to the late Betty Mattheyer and Dennis Rackley.
She attended and graduated from Chandler high school in 1984.
Cynthia has two wonderful children, Orion and Zachary.
She moved to Oklahoma City where she began pursuing her LPN license.
While in Oklahoma City she met the love of her life, Jim Van Sickle at a muffler shop getting her car repaired. They married on October 22, 1998. Together they moved back to Chandler, Oklahoma.
Cynthia enjoyed being in church and was a part of the choir praise team. She had a very beautiful voice and loved to sing.
She enjoyed cooking and decorating her house.
She loved her dogs, but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren.
Cynthia is survived by one parent, Betty Rackley; husband, Jim Van Sickle; two sons, Orion Van Steenbergh and fiancé; and Zachary Van Steenbergh and fiancé; five grandchildren, Ethan, Eli, Kylee, McKenzie Van Steenbergh and Baylin Johnson and a host of friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Rackley, and grandparents, Frank and Faye Mattheyer, and Dennis and Grace Rackley.
Special Thanks to People’s Choice Hospice, their staff, and especially to Mary Vanzant.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Chandler Southern Baptist Church in Chandler, Oklahoma. Pastor Steve Purdue and Pastor Ty Tramble will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Rossville Cemetery.
