ALBERT T. VAN METER OBITUARY

ALBERT T. VAN METER
1850 - 1937


Albert T. Van Meter, aged 87 years, was laid to rest in the Stroud Cemetery, Sunday, July 11.
He leaves to mourn his loss his life companion, 84 years old, two daughters, Mrs. Maude Stanton of Stroud, Mrs. Ruby Hardison, Sac and Fox Agency, three sons, Edwin R., Oswald M., and Jay P. Van Meter and eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one brother, J. B. Van Meter of Danville, Illinois, and a host of friends.
Mr. Van Meter had been a resident of Lincoln County for thirty years, coming to Oklahoma thirty five years ago from Iowa and settling near Anadarko, coming to Lincoln County thirty years ago where he has since resided.
He was born in Kankakee, Illinois where he leaves many relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
The funeral was conducted by a Chandler undertaking firm.
