ANNA J. VAN METER OBITUARY

ANNA J. VAN METER
1852 - 1945


Anna J. Brown was born February 28, 1852 at Muncie, Indiana.
She departed this life at her home in Prague, March 28, 1945.
She was married to Albert T. Van Meter November 6, 1872 and to this union were born sixr children, Maude Stanton of Prague, Edwin R. Van Meter of Stroud, Oswald M. and Jay P. Van Meter of the home address at Prague.
Her husband and two daughters, Pearle Baker and Ruby Hardison, preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her death four children, one son-in-law and one daughter-in-law, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, and she has two grandsons serving in the United States service. Jimmie Hardison, in the Air Corps and Clarence Van Meter in the Marine Corps.
She also leaves a host of friends whom she loved dearly.
In early life, she united with the Christian church. She was a devoted and loving mother.
Funeral services were held at the home of her son, Edwin R. Van Meter, March 30, 1945. Rev. Hart, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated and the singer from the church helping.
Pallbearers were some friends of the family. The flower girls were from the close friends of the family and were under Mrs. Lula Clark, also a close friend.
Our dear mother's body was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the Stroud Cemetery, the Chandler Funeral Home in charge.
