BILLY RAY TOLAND
1948 - 2013


Billy Ray Toland, a longtime Cushing resident died on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at his home in Cushing at the age of 64.
Billy was born on November 13, 1948 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to the late James Daniel and Mary Ellen {Shockley} Toland.
He grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from Richard King High School in 1967.
He joined the United States Air Force and served from 1968 to 1975 with an Honorable discharge.
He was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on December 28, 1975 by Brother Doyle Combs.
Billy married the love of his life Daisy Bell Carmichael on February 27, 1976 in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Billy and Daisy were married for 37 years. To this union three daughters were born, Carissa Adria, Danica Fawn {Dinky} and Chan’Tel Adonia.
Billy’s hobbies were riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing when he was younger, he also enjoyed gardening.
He worked as a brick mason for many years till he retired with a veterans pension.
He loved watching his girls play softball and was the girls little league coach.
Billy was famous for his Bar-B-Que.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren, Adilee, Maribell, Xander and Bubba.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Daniel and Mary Ellen Toland; step-father Frank Lee Henderson; daughter Danica Fawn {Dinky} Toland and brother James Doyle Toland.
Billy is survived by his wife Daisy Toland of the home; daughters Carissa Wright and husband Heath of Blanchard; Chan’Tel Molloy and husband Colton of Cushing; brother Benny Lee Toland of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister Cynthia Ann McFarlin and husband Robert of Oak Grove, Louisiana; grandchildren Adilee Faith {Peanut} Molloy and Maribell Rayann Wright; foster grandsons Xander and Bubba; and a host of family, brethren and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Cushing. Brother Robert Combs and Brother Allen Rossiter will officiate.
Interment will follow at Flynn Cemetery, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
