EMMA JUNE THOMAS
1927 - 2005


Graveside service for Emma June Thomas, age 77, of Rush Springs will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2005, in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Rev. Bill Long will officiate.
Mrs. Thomas was born the daughter of Sam Meadows and Mary Jane Vineyard Meadows on June 1, 1927, in Chickasha. She died on May 30, 2005, peacefully at her home north of Rush Springs.
June was a graduate of Chickasha High School.
In 1946, she married Dwain Thomas in Chickasha.
She and her husband lived in several places as they followed Dwain's work in the oilfield. They lived in Stroud, Oklahoma for twenty years, then moved back to the Chickasha area.
June was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lloyd Meadows; one sister, Ruth Myers; and her husband, Dwain Thomas.
Survivors include daughter and husband, Faye and Lloyd Barnett of Rush Springs; son and wife, Dale and Diana Thomas of Oklahoma City; son and wife, Eugene and Darla Thomas of Wichita Falls, Texas; son, Scott Thomas of Yukon; sister, Janelle Knight of Oklahoma City, six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
