CAROL JOY THOMAS
1934 - 2016


Carol Joy Ford Thomas was born December 30, 1934 in Bryan Township, Lincoln County to Oman C. Ford and Velma I. King. She passed away August 30, 2016 in Oklahoma City at the age of 81.
Carol grew up in Wellston graduating from Wellston High School in 1953.
She married Terry Thomas in 1975.
Carol worked at Zales selling jewelry for many years and later retired from Farm Bureau where she was a receptionist. She was a long time member of the Wellston United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She and Terry have both spent years at the Wellston Senior Citizens Center where they enjoyed lunch and games with other seniors.
She liked music and enjoyed talking with friends and family.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; brother, J. L. Ford, sister-in-law, Bonnie Ford and a grandson, Kolyn.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Terry Thomas of the home; children, Todd Thomas of Oklahoma City, Kortni and her husband David Howerton of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Jayden and Hunter; brother, Cecil Ford of Wellston; along with many other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 in the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at the Rossville Cemetery in Wellston.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
