In Memory of Loreta Nelle Gentry Taylor
{Wife of Mearl M. Gentry}
January 10, 1917 - March 22, 2010
Loreta Nelle Arnold Taylor, a resident of Dothan, passed away Monday night, March 22, 2010 at Wesley Manor. She was 93.
Mrs. Taylor was born January 10, 1917 in Kansas.
She was a longtime resident of Fairborne, Ohio.
She was employed with Wright Patterson Air Force Base, as a supervisor for over 25 years prior to her retirement.
Mrs. Taylor was an avid shopper and was always well dressed in her designer clothing.
She also loved traveling and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Ohio. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Taylor is predeceased by two husbands, Merle Gentry and William Taylor, a brother, Charles Robert Arnold, and a sister, Juanita Lynch.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Eloise Arnold of Dothan, Alabama; several nieces and nephews including, Dr. Vincent Arnold {Julie} of Moorhead, Minnesota; Dawn Parsons of Enon, Ohio; Juniata Gins {Richard} of Potomac, Maryland; Paul Lynch, Jr. of Norfolk, Virginia; Colleen Kanner {Gerry} of Mechanicsville, Virginia; Neil Arnold {Colleen} and Quint Arnold {Erica}, all of Lexington, Virginia; two step-sons, Steve Taylor of Boise, Idaho and David Taylor of Westerville, Ohio.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
A memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Hospice Chaplin Eddie Biss officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Alabama 36302.
