MATTIE CORDELIA TATE
1924 - 2002


Mattie Cordelia Tiner Tate, 77, was born July 20, 1924, in Shawnee, to Tom and Etta Perkins Tiner.
She died Tuesday, February 19, 2002, in Enid.
She was united in marriage to Clyde Gilbert Tate May 13, 1940, in Arizona. The couple came to the Agra community in 1978 and resided since that time.
She was a member of the Church of the Firstborn and had worked for Oklahoma State University for over 12 years prior to retiring in 1985.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Mrs. Tate is survived by her husband, Clyde, of the home; five children, Gloria Skinner of Agra, Lynda Godwin of Enid, Keith Tate of Tulsa, Cathy Chapman of Jacksonville, Florida and Mark Tate of Cushing; sister, Carlamae Tate of Chowchilla, California, twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday at Parkland Cemetery in Parkland.
Services are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Cushing.
