BETTY LOU SUGGS
1929 - 2013


Betty Lou Suggs, 84, passed from this life on June 19, 2013, at her residence in Moore, Oklahoma. She was born March 14, 1929, near Fern, Oklahoma, in Caddo County, to Homer and Bertha Prevett Suggs.
She had lived in Paden, Shawnee, Oklahoma City and Moore during her lifetime. She was a loving daughter, aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt.
Betty graduated from Shawnee High School in 1947 and went to work for Southwestern Bell in Shawnee that same year. She retired from Southwestern Bell in 1979 with 32 years of service.
She had been a faithful member of the Church of Christ all her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Katherene Warden and Aleta Neely.
Survivors include her sister, Joyce Beavers and her husband, Gene of Cedar Hill, Texas; brother, Robert J. Suggs and his wife, Ruth Ann, of Midwest City; ten nieces and nephews; over ninety first cousins from the Suggs and Prevett families; and a host of friends and other family members.
Viewing and visitation will begin Sunday afternoon at Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
The Suggs family has requested that memorials be made in Betty's name to: Jim Riley Outreach, Inc. 2201 Cardinal Drive, Edmond, Oklahoma 73013.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague with Leonard McMinn officiating.
Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague.
