MILDRED LOIS STRICKLIN
1925 - 2011


Mildred Lois Good Stricklin was born on December 8, 1925, in a tent in the oilfields near Davenport, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, January 20, 2011, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 85.
Mildred, the daughter of Loyd and Fay Cox Good, was a resident of Prague.
She attended schools at Tecumseh, Shawnee and Prague. She graduated from Prague High School with the class of 1943.
She married Vernon L. Stricklin on November 10, 1944, in Garden Grove. They made their home in the Bellmont community where they farmed and operated a dairy business. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1997.
Mildred was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church and attended there all of her married life.
Her parents and son, Benton Stricklin on October 1, 2010, also preceded Mildred in death.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Nancy Stricklin of Prague, Randy and Mary Stricklin of Prague, daughter-in-law, Nancy Stricklin of Kimberling City, Missouri, brothers, Marvin and Lucille Good of Prague, Jack and Zelpha Good of Shawnee and Carl Good of Duncan, sister, Christeen Mulanax of Greenville, Texas, grandchildren, Becky Bonner of Springfield, Missouri, Cathy Grimes of Reed Springs, Missouri, Rory Stricklin of Wewoka, Rachel Thomas of Denton, Texas, Ramanda Rolette of Prague, Joseph Stricklin of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Zackery Stricklin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joseph Grimes, Matthew Bonner, Aidan Thomas and Hanna Rolette, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating.
Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
