DONNA LOUISE STOKES
1948 - 2010


Donna Louise Thompson Stokes, a Cushing resident, passed away early Monday morning, September 13, 2010 at her home at the age of 62 years.
The daughter of the late Homer Thompson and Ruby Willingham Thompson, Donna was born August 15, 1948 in Stroud, Oklahoma were she was reared and educated.
On February 10, 1966 Donna was united in marriage to Harold Stokes in Stroud, Oklahoma. They moved to Cushing in 1997 from Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She is survived by her husband, Harold of the home; one daughter, Tammy Maxwell and her husband Josh of Cushing; three sons, Jimmy Stokes and his wife Rosie of Harrah, James Stokes and his wife Jennifer of Hebron, Kentucky and Scotty Stokes of Harrah, Oklahoma; two sisters, Billie Eversole and her husband Lloyd of Cushing and Carolyn Fox of Drumright; two brothers, Richard Thompson and his wife Tammy of Stroud and Roy Thompson and his wife Wanda of Davenport, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Newman and Linda Collier and one brother, Rosco Thompson.
Services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma and will be held privately with her family and close friends.
