GARY LYNN STEVENS
1945 - 2012


Gary Lynn Stevens, 67, of Stillwater, passed from this life on September 22, 2012 at his home in Stillwater.
He was born on January 15, 1945 to Leonard and Vera Looney Stevens in Cushing, Oklahoma.
He grew up and attended school in Agra, Oklahoma and married Earlene Seger and their union would last for 46 years.
In 1996, Gary and Earlene moved to Stillwater where Gary owned and operated Stevens Auto Center.
He spent his professional life selling and repairing cars.
Gary was a member of the Church of the Firstborn. He never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gary is survived by his wife Earlene, of the home; four children: Regina Robinson of Chandler; Brian Stevens and wife Jeanne, of Agra; Angie Heddleston and husband Scott, of Stillwater; and Tammy Thomas and husband John, of Stillwater; and a brother: Johnie Stevens of Stillwater. Three sisters: Gladys Heddleston of Stillwater; Brenda Kelly and husband Chuck, of Agra; and Jeanie Stevens of Florida. Ten grandchildren: Shane Thompson and wife Chelsie; Lacy Goodman and husband Colt; Shelby Stevens, Emily Heddleston, Caleb Stevens, Charity Stevens, Lexus Robinson, James Thomas, Logan Thomas, and Cole Thomas.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Judith Karman Hospice in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington. Stillwater, Oklahoma 74075.
Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held at Parkland Cemetery on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 10:00 am.
Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 25 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the family will greet friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
