TAMMY LEIGH SPURGEON
1963 - 2010


Tammy Leigh Powell Spurgeon, age 46, of Perkins, Oklahoma passed away Monday evening, February 1, 2010 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Tammy was born on November 27, 1963 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Billy Powell Sr. and Mildred Cleora Boling Powell.
She was reared and educated in Shidler, Oklahoma, graduating from Shidler High School.
In 1984 she moved to Cushing, then to Glencoe before making her home in the Perkins area.
On April 4, 2004 Tammy was united in marriage to Jimmy Spurgeon in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
She enjoyed riding horses and Harleys with her husband Jimmy. Although Tammy enjoyed many things in life, her greatest joy was spending as much time as possible with her granddaughter, Allison. The two were inseparable throughout the week, they developed their special relationship since Allison was 4 weeks old, at which time Tammy began watching her Monday through Friday.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Jimmy of the home; sons, Colt, Ty and Austin of the home; daughter, Jenifer Wood and husband Jack of Glencoe; brother, Billy Powell and wife Dana of Agra; nephew, Trey Powell of Agra and granddaughter, Allison Wood of Glencoe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, Bubba Porter and Doltan Murray.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing and will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Tryon Cemetery at Tryon, Oklahoma.
