MICHAEL ALLEN SIMON
1949 - 2009


Michael Allen Simon, Chandler resident, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009 in Meeker at the age of 60 years.
The son of the late Bud Simon and Maggie Stockwell Simon, Mike was born on March 23, 1949 in Davenport, and was reared and educated in that area.
He was united in marriage to Jeanie Sullivan in 1974 and to this union three children, Steven, Amanda and Luke were born.
Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, OU football, taking care of his livestock, his dog “Copper” and playing with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Jeanie Simon of the home; three children, Steven Simon and his wife Jade of Chandler; Amanda Christman and her husband Jason of Davenport; and Luke Simon and his wife Angie of Davenport; four granddaughters, Alisha, Ashley, BrookeLynn and Katy; three grandsons, Tyler, Simon Joey and Wyatt; five brothers, Henry Simon, Paul Simon, Robert Simon, Joseph Simon and Mark Simon; four sisters, Edna Baldwin, Theresa Norman, Laura Beck and MaryAnn Mathis; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Simon and his twin brother Luke Simon, who died as an infant.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Davenport with Brother Mike Mitchell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Davenport Cemetery.
