PATRICIA LUANN SIMEK
1996 - 2014


Patricia Luann “Pat” Roberts Simek was born on December 16, 1952, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, June 16, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 61.
Pat, the daughter of Loyd Eldridge and Helen Juanita Gibbs Roberts, was a long-time resident of Prague.
She attended Shawnee High School graduating with the Class of 1971.
She married Ronald Fred Simek on March 11, 1972, in Shawnee. They met through mutual friends, married and moved to Prague.
Pat was a member of Prague First Assembly of God Church and worked there as the pastor’s secretary for over 31 years.
Pat and Ron lived on a farm north of Prague since 1972. They owned a craft business, Wood-N-Stuff, and enjoyed working on crafts. Pat enjoyed having a vegetable garden, canning and freezing most of the produce. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. The most important things in her life were her grandchildren and her life-long service to her church and the Lord.
Her father and brother-in-law preceded Pat in death.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Ronald Fred Simek of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Fred and Dana Simek, Jr. and their children, Caden Turner and Ella Grace of Prague; mother, Helen Roberts of Shawnee; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Sandy Roberts of McLoud; sister, Priscilla Bradley and her companion, Jim, of Tecumseh; other family and friends.
The Simek family will receive friends on Thursday, June 19, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Prague with Rev. Kevin Wehrli, Rev. Jeff Coose and Rev. Chris Lee officiating.
Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
