BETTY LOU SEEBECK
1928 - 2015

Betty Lou Pechacek Seebeck was born May 9, 1928 in Prague, Oklahoma to Wesley Vincent Pechacek and Frances Louise Sykora.
She passed away February 20, 2015 in Aransas Pass, Texas at the age of 86.
As an independent young woman in the early 50’s Betty moved from the family farm in Prague to Oklahoma City where she took a job at a prestigious clothing store. This was a bold choice due to her inability to drive. Making her own living within walking distance to her job was a source of pride which was gladly given up when she met her soul mate, Rinehart Seebeck, and married August 18, 1956.
Rinehart built them a home in Edmond, Oklahoma where they started their family. In 1972 they moved to Rinehart’s home town of Wellston, Oklahoma to live the farm life. She was a loving and caring wife to Rinehart for 43 years.
As President and CEO of the Seebeck household Betty made sure everybody that stepped though her door, being two legged or four, was welcomed, well fed and taken care of.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, and making homemade butter. Any extra milk, eggs, or butter was sold for pocket money to spoil her children as she always put others first.
Betty resided in Wellston till 2004 when she moved to Rockport, Texas to be near her daughter, Rhonda.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rinehart Seebeck; two sisters; and one grandson.
She is survived by her son, Larry Don Seebeck of Wellston, Oklahoma; daughter, Rhonda Koenning and her husband. Kevin of Rockport, Texas; brothers, Joe Pechacek of Texas; Charles Pechacek of Oklahoma; sister, Mary Ainsworth of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one more on the way.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellston following a private burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
