NORMA GENE SALYER
1926 - 2014


Norma Gene Taylor Salyer was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on September 16, 1926, and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at the age of 87 years.
Norma was the daughter of Standley O. and Gladys Taylor.
She was a resident of Stroud all of her life.
Norma married Glen Otis Salyer in Oklahoma City on June 8, 1946. He preceded her in death November 25, 2005.
Norma and her husband owned and operated the B & C Tanks Truck Company in Stroud.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Ella Salyer of Bristow, Doug and Connie Salyer of Stroud and Matt and Tracy Salyer of Stroud, one daughter, Sherri Peckham of Norman, nine grandchildren, Chris, Ashley, Justin, Aaron, Ian, Megan, Colin, Alexis and Alyssa, eleven great-grandchildren, Aby, Laura, Ashlyn, Gabrien, Shylan, Aubryn, Cayson, Blakelee, Easton, Ian and Savanna, as well as other relatives and many friends.
Graveside service will be held at the Stroud Cemetery on Monday, January 20, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Vogle officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
