MONICA HOPE SALISBURY
1975 - 2012


Monica Hope White Salisbury was born on February 21, 1975, in Prague Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, November 11, 2012, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 37 after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.
Monica, the daughter of Monty and Mickey White, was a resident of Prague.
She married B. J. Salisbury on October 12, 2007.
Monica graduated from Paden High School with the class of 1993 and received a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2005. Although always available to help with work on the farm, Monica had applied her degree by working as a counselor at Stepping Stones until September 2008 when she was diagnosed with an astrocytoma brain tumor. It then progressed into glioblastoma in September 2012. Monica and her family traveled from Tulsa, to MD Anderson, to OU Medical Center trying to save her.
She will be missed.
Monica was preceded in death by her uncle, Sandy Lee, cousins, Donovan Davenport and A. J. Lee and sisters-in-law, Keri Bridges and LaDonna Franklin.
Survivors include her husband, B. J. Salisbury of the home, son, Montana Whitson of Paden, daughters, Sage Whitson of Paden and Railey Salisbury of Prague, step-son, Kaden Salisbury of Prague, mother and father, Monty and Mickey White of Paden, mother and father-in-law, Ted and Carol Salisbury of Prague, brother and family, Starsky, Angelica, Colten, Tynslee and Jensen White of Paden, grandparents, J. B. and Norma White and Gene and Adabell Lee, brother and sister-in-law, Chuck Salisbury of California, Lisa Salisbury of Indiana and a host of other family and many friends.
Monica's family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, November 13, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons and Bro. Trey Teape officiating.
Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery in Prague.
