VADONNA JEAN SADLER
1925 - 2013


Vadonna Jean Sadler, former Oklahoma City resident now of Tulsa, passed away on Sunday morning, June 2, 2013 in the University Village Nursing Home, Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years.
The daughter of the late Francis and Susan Allred Sadler, Vadonna was born on February 1, 1925 in Carney, Oklahoma.
Vadonna grew up in Drumright, graduating from Drumright High School.
During World War II, she worked for Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa a “Rosie the Riveter.”
Vadonna moved to Oklahoma City in 1955 and worked for Superior Sign Company as their office manager. She retired from there in 1990 and moved to Tulsa in 2009.
She had been a member of the Christ Legacy Church in Oklahoma City and was a proud member of the Democratic Party.
Survivors include one sister, Jackie Campbell of Drumright; one brother, B. F. Sadler and wife Dorothy of Owasso; ten nieces and nephews, Alberta Bonebrake, June Fritts, Ron Sadler, Sue Cline, Roger Sadler, Larry Sadler, David Sadler, DeLois Middleton, Judy Austin and Lesa Goodwin; and a host of great amd great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Vadonna was preceded in death by four sisters, Iona Dyer, Vi Sullivan, Flossie Uptegraft and Edna Grace; and four brothers, Vernon Sadler, Leo Sadler, Cleo Sadler and Jess Sadler.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma and will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Burial will follow in the Carney Cemetery, Carney, Oklahoma.
Viewing for Vadonna will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing.
