VESTA MAYE BELLE ROYER
1912 - 2013


Vesta Maye Belle Hodge Royer was born in Red Star, Arkansas on May 27, 1912 and departed this life in Chandler, Oklahoma on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the age of 101 years.
Vesta was the daughter of Jessie James and Mary Elizabeth Standberry Hodge.
She was a resident of Chandler, Oklahoma moving from Stroud, Oklahoma where her home was most of her life.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma and a homemaker.
She was married to Marcelious "Sandy" Royer in Chandler, Oklahoma on January 27, 1931. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2009.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, eight brothers, two grandsons and one granddaughter.
Survivors include three daughters and sons in laws, Sharon and Bob Cook of Prague, Oklahoma, Judy and Freddie Lynch of Chandler, Oklahoma, Sharlene Smith of Stroud, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Mike Mitchell and Rev. Tim Emmon officiating.
Burial will follow in the Davenport Cemetery, Davenport, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
