LUTHER B. ROLAN
1921 - 2000


Luther B. Rolan died Sunday, October 29, in his Shawnee residence. He was 78.
He was born on December 29, 1921, to Burrell and Lula Margaret Ingram Rolan.
He graduated from Chandler High School in 1940 and worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 30 years.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
On November 2, 1946, he married Lucy Taylor.
Luther was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Shawnee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, David Lynn Rolan.
Survivors include his wife of Shawnee, son, John Rolan of Newalla, daughter Margaret Rolan Loague and husband Mike of Newalla, sister, Vida Freid of Bradenton, Florida, two grandsons, James Loague of Harrah and John Loague of Newalla, two great-grandchildren and several other family members and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Richard Dickinson will officiate.
Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler.
