JEANNETTA ALENE ROE
1928 - 2010


Jeannetta Alene Harper Roe, a longtime Agra resident, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in the Cushing Regional Medical Center at the age of 82 years.
The daughter of the late Clyde Harper and Addie Mae Ralston Harper, Alene was born on October 18, 1928 in Bristow, Oklahoma.
She was reared and educated in the Slick and Bristow area and on her 18th birthday she was united in marriage to Mick Roe in Blythe, California.
Alene had lived in Agra for over 60 years and was a member of the Tri-County Church of Christ in Cushing for over 50 years.
Many will remember her smiling face from Safe Way in Cushing and the Maverick Mini-Mart in Agra, which she managed until her retirement.
In her spare time Alene loved working in the yard and cooking, but her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her six children, Sharon Reed and her husband Wayne; Wayne Roe and his wife, Margie, Gary Roe and his wife Carolyn, James Roe and his wife Renee and Richard Roe and his wife Patty, all of Agra, Oklahoma. Great-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Alene was preceded in death by her husband Mick; four sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2010 in the Church of Christ {4th Street & Linwood Avenue}in Cushing with Mr. Kyle Wright officiating.
Burial will follow in the Flynn Cemetery, Cushing, Oklahoma.
