RONNIE CLYDE RODGERS
1954 - 2010


Ronnie Clyde Rodgers was born on August 21, 1954 in Cushing, Oklahoma and left this world to be with Jesus on July 24, 2010 at his home northeast of Agra, Oklahoma.
He worked for OSU of Stillwater for over 20 years as a heavy equipment operator and also worked in oil fields for Sabre Drilling.
Ronnie was a quiet man who loved to hunt, fish and entertain his family.
He truly loved his work and the people he worked with and considered himself blessed to have such good friends that included Buddy Herrmann, Walter Rodgers,Curly Pierce, Roy Focht, Rick Williams, James Phipps and Jeff Spears. But what he loved most was to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
He leaves behind his wife, Janice Rodgers; son, Eric Rodgers and wife Samantha of Cushing; daughter, Laura Callanan and husband Mike of Cushing, granddaughter, Lexi Callanan, three grandsons, Jansen Callanan, Dalton Rodgers and Cody Rodgers; sister, Carlotta Gregory and husband Mark of Cushing, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Fern Rodgers; two brothers, Gerald Rodgers and Terry Rodgers, and brother-in-law Lamar Frank.
Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing and will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Agra Church of the Firstborn with Brothers Lynn Brown, Theldon Fowler and Donnie Molloy presiding.
Interment will follow at Flynn Cemetery.
