MILTON RAY ROBERTS
1938 - 2010


Milton Ray Roberts, 72, of Carney, Oklahoma, passed away on September 10, 2010, after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis, a result of rheumatoid arthritis.
Milton was a loving, funny, and wise man and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He was born April 20, 1938, in Enid, Oklahoma, to William "Bill" and Edith Roberts.
He grew up in Enid and graduated from Carrier High School, where he was captain of his basketball team. Milton loved college basketball, particularly OSU basketball, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family, especially his wife and soul mate, Jackie Roberts, whom he married in 1982. He was a member and Deacon of Carney Christian Church.
Milton was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Roberts.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; siblings, Dean and Ronnie Roberts and Linda Holt; children, Danny and wife Susie; Donny and wife Kim; Denny, Dedra Schulz and husband Dennis; Tina Stiefmiller and Helen; Crystal Veilleux and husband Chris.
He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma with Dr. B. Gordon Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at the Carney Cemetery in Carney, Oklahoma.
