ANNA ILENE RIKARD
1921 - 2011


Anna Ilene Myrick Rikard, age 89 of Cushing, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the Linwood Nursing Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Anna Ilene Rikard, the second child of Ira and Irene Myrick was born on September 8, 1921 in Agra.
She attended and graduated from Agra Public Schools.
She also attended Oklahoma A&M one year and then pursued employment.
In 1942 she moved to Houston, Texas and was employed by Gulf Oil Corporation for 15 years.
In 1944 she married William Otahal. They had one child, a son, born January 8, 1946.
In 1958 she moved to Agra, Oklahoma.
In 1962 she married Elvoy Rikard. She resided in Chandler until his death June 15, 1969.
She moved back to Agra with her parents as her health was deteriorating. Ever since she was 5 years old she has some health problems but still managed to work and live a normal life.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined the Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas. After moving to Cushing, Oklahoma, she transferred her membership to the First United Methodist Church.
She was a very caring, friendly person who loved her family very much. She particularly loved for her nieces and nephews.
Survivors are an aunt, Velma Schlegel, Norman, Oklahoma; and an uncle, Wilbur Harmon, Cushing, Oklahoma; brother Luke Myrick, Cushing, Oklahoma; Ira, Jr., Rogers, Arkansas; sister, Betty Sehie, Nixa, Missouri; brother-in-law, Clifford Sehie, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Elvoy Rikard; her son, William Otahal; sister Pauline Lonon; nephew Bruce Bean; and sisters-in-law Colleen Myrick and Norma Myrick.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
Interment will follow at Flynn Cemetery, Cushing. Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
