JAMES REESE
1910 - 1997


Southern Pacific Railroad retiree James Reese, 87, died Saturday in Chandler.
James, who had lived in Chandler since 1970, was born July 12, 1910, in Austin, Texas.
He lived in Arizona before moving to Oklahoma and worked for the railroad for more than 23 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving Mr. Reese are four sons, Virgile Esters of Chandler; Robert Esters of San Diego, California; James Reese Jr. and Emmit Reese, both of Arizona; six daughters, Jessie Fields of Chandler,;Glendola Esters and Harvey Landrum, both of Sacramento, California; Reese, Mandy Reese and Doria Reese, all of Arizona; granddaughter, Marsha Green of Chandler; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. today at Clearview Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Lewis officiating.
Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
