DONALD WALTER RALL
1929 - 2010


Donald Walter “D.W.” Rall, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on April 26, 2010. He was born January 18, 1929 in Sandpoint, Idaho to Clyde and Nellie Rall.
Don was raised and went to school in Agra, Oklahoma.
He was a member of the Oklahoma National Guard and served in Korea.
He married the love of his life, Ruth Ellen Toles on November 22, 1952 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Their first home was in Cushing, Oklahoma where he worked at the Deep Rock Refinery and later retired from the Kerr-McGee Plutonium Plant at Crescent, Oklahoma. He lived in Guthrie for about 38 years.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Don is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth on July 30, 1999; his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Holmes; granddaughter, Kendra Hardy and great-grandson, Zachary Hardy all of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Delores Tarlton of Tryon, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Ann Rall of Vero Beach, Florida and Joy Anderson of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law, Bill Crews of Oklahoma City; and a host of other loved family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen of Companion Hospice of Guthrie officiating.
Interment will follow at Carney Cemetery, Carney, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Companion Hospice, 1314 East Oklahoma Avenue, Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044.
