GEORGE EDWARD PRUITT
1931 - 2013


George Edward Pruitt, Meeker, Oklahoma, resident was born on September 12, 1931, in Meeker, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 30, 2013, in Meeker at the age of 81 years.
George was the son of John Lesley and Ella Margaret Ramsey Pruitt.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
George worked as a sheet rock installer for many years.
He was of the Baptist faith.
His parents, four brothers, and three sisters preceded George in death.
Survivors include three sons, Dana Pruitt of Louisiana, Scott Pruitt of Louisiana and Jarrod Pruitt of Apache Junction, Arizona, one daughter, Ivy Pruitt of Mesa, Arizona, one brother, Jimmy Pruitt of Chandler, Oklahoma and one sister, Carlene Kacere of Mesa, Arizona, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at Rossville Cemetery, near Wellston, Oklahoma with Rev. Jimmy Simek officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
