PATSY JO PITTMAN
1935 - 2011


Patsy Jo Kirby Pittman of Wellston, Oklahoma was born on October 30, 1935 in Sulphur and passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Edmond at the age of 75 years.
The daughter of Wesly Henry and Ona O. Cavner Kirby, Pat married Benjamin Floyd Pittman on May 10, 1953 in Fresno, California.
She was a graduate of Sulphur High School and worked for Western Electric, MPI, and the State of Oklahoma State Treasurer’s Office in Oklahoma City and Armstrong Flooring in Stillwater until her retirement.
She attended the Assembly of God Church in Wellston, Oklahoma.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; brothers Eugene Kirby of Sulphur, Bobby J. Kirby of Sulphur and Douglas R. Kirby of Meeker and sister, Bernice Wood of Sulphur.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ben of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Wes and Martha Pittman of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Steve and Pam Pittman of Wellston; grandchildren, Bryan Pittman and wife Corrie of Wellston, and their children Chayse, Dallas, Macey-Rae and Easton; Joseph Pittman and wife Raye Lynn of Jones; Lesley McConnell and husband Tucker of Wellston, and their children Taylor, Tate, Kirby and Autrey; Brad Pittman of Chandler, and his children Kodey and Halle; Jordan Pittman of Chandler; brothers Wesley Kirby, Jr. of Sulphur; Norris Kirby of Shawnee; and sister Christine Thompson of Prague; along with many other relatives and friends who will certainly miss her dearly.
A visitation was held Sunday, October 16, 2011 starting at 11:00 a.m. with the family welcoming friends for a reception that evening from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
A funeral honoring Pat's life was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Wellston Assembly of God Church with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.
