LILIA PERCELL
1928 - 2012


Lilia Byers Percell, longtime Cushing resident, passed away Tuesday evening, February 14, 2012 at the age of 83 years.
The daughter of the late Ted Earl Byers and Fay Kanady Byers, Lilia was born on December 25, 1928 in Agra, Oklahoma and was raised and educated in this area.
She was united in marriage to Glenn E. Percell on May 22, 1954 in Cushing and to this union two sons, Gary and Glenn were born.
Lilia was a hard worker and had worked for Ideal Cleaners for over 16 years prior to working for Escott's Grocery for over 8 years. She enjoyed working outdoors, rather it be in the garden, shoveling snow or whatever needed to be done.
She was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.
Survivors include her husband Glenn Percell of the home; one son Glenn "Eddie" Percell of Cushing; three sisters, Alfreda Tibbett and her husband Wayne; LaQuita Dahlke and Nadine McFadden all of Cushing; ten grandchildren, Travis Percell, Tanner Percell, Caleb Percell, Glenn Percell III, James Percell, Sarah Sallee, Shannon Marler, Chelsea Huckabay, Jessica Ledgerwood and Samuel Pittser; seven great-grandchildren, Carter Percell, Reagon Percell, Avenlea Percell, Bow Hunter Sallee, Kaylin Furman, Felix Marler and Eisley Marler; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son Gary Percell; one sister Dorothy Rhodes and just recently a daughter-in-law Sonya Percell.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Parkland Cemetery with John Owens officiating.
The family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Floyd Family Center, east of the Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and forms may be picked up in the office of the Funeral Home.
