WALTER ELDRIDGE NICCUM
1917 - 2013


Eldridge Niccum was born in Davenport, Oklahoma on July 7, 1917 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the age of 95 years.
Eldridge was the son of Walter Franklin and Martha Elizabeth McMurtry Niccum.
He lived in Stroud, Oklahoma most of his life.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene but attended the Stroud Christian Church in Stroud and worked as and inspector for the dirt work when the Will Roger Turnpike was being built, after that he was working for Allied Material Roofing Davison and moved from the roofing division to Project Manager at the lube plant for Allied Material when they were building the new plant.
He retired from the City of Stroud as Water Superintendent.
He married Inola L. Conner on May 9, 1936. She preceded him in death on November 10, 2012.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sons and daughters in laws, Frank and Patricia Niccum of Stroud, Oklahoma, Donand Linda Niccum of Stroud, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Stroud Christian Church in Stroud on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Will Fine officiating.
Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
