ELENDER DAVIS NELSON
1925 - 2013


Elender "Jane" Davis Nelson, 88, of Yukon, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013.
She was born June 14, 1925, in Paden to Thomas and Ora Dawson Davis.
Jane was a graduate of Okemah High School, class of 1943.
She married Samuel F. Nelson in October of 1945, and he preceded her in death October 26, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents and thirteen siblings.
Jane lived most of her life in Pottawatomie and Lincoln counties.
She is survived by four of her children, David Simpson of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Sue Kasper of Oklahoma City; Donna Mize of Calumet; and Roger Nelson of Yukon.
She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to visit with friends and family.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 6 at Calvary Way Church in Prague.
Burial will be in Prague Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee.
