JEFFERY RALPH MURPHY
1996 - 2016


Jeffery Ralph Murphy, 57, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at his residence.
Jeff was born January 9, 1959 in Cushing, Oklahoma and moved to Big Spring when he was three years old.
He played Little League Baseball on the Coca Cola Colts, and graduated from Big Spring High School in 1977.
Jeff was a member of the Big Spring Steer golf team and enjoyed playing golf throughout his life, and played with a 4 handicap. He received his associate degree from TSTI in Waco and was a licensed engineer and rail inspector. He worked for Loram Maintenance Way for 15 years and had worked all over the United States, Mexico and China.
Jeff grew up in Trinity Baptist Church and was saved when he was 13 years old.
Survivors include his parents, George T. and Betty Jean Wonderly Murphy of Big Spring and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Ruth Murphy and Ralph and Edith Wonderly.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Parkland Cemetery. Rev. Larry Calvert will officiate.
The family suggests memorials to Parkland Cemetery, P. O. Box 187, Agra, Oklahoma 74824.
