RAYBORN MOSES
1934 - 2013


Rayborn Moses was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on November 16, 1934, and departed this life at his home in Prague, Oklahoma with his family by his side, on March 11, 2013 at the age of 78.
Rayborn, the son of Dodge Walker and Winnie Bell McCarthy Moses, was a lifelong resident of Prague and attended Prague Schools.
He married Betty Ellison on July 1, 1954. She preceded him in death on May 30, 2012.
Rayborn retired from the City of Prague after 33 years of service during which time he served as Parks and Cemetery supervisor and director of Prague Public Works. He also retired from the Civil Defense and Prague Fire Department after serving as director and fire chief.
Rayborn loved his dog Buddy, fishing, garage sales and spending time with his family and friends.
His parents, one brother, Wally Moses and one sister, Wanda Moses Crow also preceded Rayborn in death.
Survivors include his son, Rick Moses of Oklahoma City; daughters and sons-in-law, Raelene and Danny Swink of Prague and Rhonda and Rick Reno of Prague; brother, Merle and Guyn Moses of Prague; sister, Beverly Maddox of Paden; six grandchildren, Stephenie and Mike Wimmer of Prague, Ron and Kelly Reno of Prague, Kelly and Cory Brooks of Maud, Rusti and Wes Seaton of Harjo, Steve McAnally of Fredrick and Teddy Reno of Prague; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and many friends.
The Moses family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Viewing will be only at the funeral home. The casket will be closed at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating.
Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.
