MARTHA ELIZABETH MOFFITT
1923 - 2001


Former Meeker resident Martha Elizabeth Shaw Moffitt died Monday in Oklahoma City at the age of 78.
She was born June 18, 1923, in Meeker to Don and Cora Jordan Shaw.
Martha had been a resident of Meeker from 1977 until May 1999 when she moved to Oklahoma City.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Nicoma Park.
She married Edward Paul Moffitt April 4, 1942.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and a brother.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Hulse of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Cora Lee Randels of Forest Park; five grandchildren, Leanne Reames Moffitt, Warren Paul Moffitt, Kimberly Dawn Hendricks, William F. Hulse IV and Lisa Marie Chacon; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at New Hope Cemetery of Meeker with the Rev. Tommy Sherry officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
Viewing and visitation will be at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Meeker from 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
