FRANKLIN D. MILLS
1922 - 1999
Franklin D. Mills, 76, died Saturday in Tryon, Oklahoma.He was born December 11, 1922, in Jennings, Oklahoma to Victor and Rebecca Huff Mills.He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and worked in the elevator maintenance business for more than thirty years.He was a member of the Heart of Oklahoma Limousin Cattle Association and National Elevator Industry Association.He married Maxine Campbell in El Reno, Oklahoma on October 16, 1952.He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters and a daughter.He is survived by his wife of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Paul Davis, Wellston; Joyce and John Wait, Johnson, Kansas; and Janice and Richard White, Oklahoma City; one brother, Forrest Mills of Stillwater; and two sisters, Lulu Mae Nix, Sand Springs, Oklahoma; and Elnora Moore of Oklahoma City.Viewing will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Wellston.Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. today at Wellston Cemetery with the Rev. Thom Chappelle officiating.Burial will be in Wellston Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler.Published April 6, 1999.
