ANTHONY DEAN MELSON
1962 - 2015


Anthony Dean Melson was born in Chandler, Oklahoma on April 8, 1962 and departed this life on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the age of 53 years.
Anthony was the son of Mark L. and Lorena Acord Melson.
He was a resident of Chandler, Oklahoma his entire life. He worked as a driver and operator in the construction oil and gas industry.
He loved to spend time with friends and family tailgating at OU football, cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder, and soaking up the sun in Mexico.
Anthony married Gaye Crass on January 24, 1986 in Stroud, Oklahoma.
He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leorna Melson, a sister-in-law, Gail Melson, a nephew, Gary Holleman, a niece, Emily Melson and his step-mother-in-law, Linda Crass.
Survivors include his wife Gaye of Chandler, a son, Myles Melson of Chandler, a daughter, Abigayle Melson of Prague, his father, Mark L. Melson of Chandler, five brothers, Mark Melson of Chandler, James Melson of Chandler, Gene Melson of Chandler, Mike Melson of Chandler and Rick Melson of Chandler, three sisters, Shirley Holleman of Chandler, Mary Anderson of Chandler and Barbara Smith of Oklahoma City as well as other relatives and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler, Oklahoma on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Father Mickus will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Davenport Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
