GERALD WILLIAM MEDLIN
1977 - 2012


Gerald William Medlin, 71, was born on June 23, 1943 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and passed away on October 9, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Gerald enjoyed fishing, watching OU football and Thunder basketball.
He enjoyed getting on Facebook.
Gerald was an excellent cook, barbecue master and chef.
He loved to spread the word about God.
Gerald was adopted as a dad and grandpa by many. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and grandchildren.
He is suvived by his wife of 52 years, Bonnie Medlin; two children, Tawanna Chiles and husband Eric and Jerry Medlin and wife Sheila; three grandchildren, Jera Medlin, Alisha Medlin and Jason Chiles; brothers and sisters, Edgar Lee Medlin, Jr. and wife Barbara Ann, Janie Winter, Silas Steven Medlin and wife Angie, Danny Allen Medlin and wife Judy Ann, Gary Dean Medlin and wife Margie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Medlin, Sr. and Janie; two sisters, Eda Lee Young and Norma Jean Matthis; and brother, Jerry W. Medlin.
Funeral services are 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2014 at Christ Gospel Church, 308 N. Marshall Drive, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow to Rossville Cemetery in Rossville, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Son Chapel, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, Oklahoma.
