BETTY JEAN McQUERRY
1926 - 2011


Betty Jean Wardrip McQuerry of Bethany, Oklahoma, was born February 9, 1926, in St. Joseph, Missouri, and died Monday, March 14, 2011, at the age of 85 years.
Betty was the daughter of Daniel and Beatrice Wilson Wardrip.
She married Johnny McQuerry on November 6, 1943, in Skiatook, Oklahoma.
She was a homemaker and served as housekeeping supervisor at the children's shelter.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; one son, Mark McQuerry and three brothers.
Survivors include four children and their spouses, John and Judy McQuerry of Fremont, California; Larry and Mary Ann McQuerry of Oklahoma City; LaDonna Deffner Yarbor and her husband Bruce of Yukon, Oklahoma; and Michael and Laura McQuerry of Bethany. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Barbra Wardrip of Phoenix, Arizona; her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Arnold vonSooster of Girard, Kansas; and other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2011, at Bethany First Assembly Church with burial following at 4:00 p.m. at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma.
Pastor Russell Herndon will officiate both services. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Parlor in Luther, Oklahoma.
