LINDA JOY McLAIN
1943 - 2010


Linda Joy Simons McLain was born June 28, 1943 in Fullerton, California to Larry Simons and Joy Allen.
She passed away peacefully March 2, 2010 in her home in Oklahoma City with her husband at her side.
Linda met James Ray McLain in California and were married in Wellston in 1963.
She worked as a Legal Assistant for many years. She and her husband built Oklahoma Body Works, where Linda worked growing what is still today a successful body shop.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jimmy McLain; mother-in-law Helen McLain; and father-in-law, Jim McLain.
She is survived by her husband, Ray McLain; children, Lori Bedford of California; Jamie and husband Scott Leachman of Moore, Oklahoma; Jeff and wife Terri McLain of Columbus, Mississippi; sister, Sean and husband Reggie Unger of Arizona; mother-in-law, Lil McLain; grandchildren, Jeremy, Ryan, Brandon, Josh, and Caitlin McLain, BreAnn and Brentley Lindsey; great-grand children, Saylor and Ruger McLain; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Geneva McLain; sister and brother-in-life, Anna and Ken Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
A funeral service was held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel in Wellston.
Linda was laid to rest in the Wellston Cemetery under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home, Wellston.
