JOY McGINNIS
1930 - 2000


Joy Kittley McGinnis died Tuesday in Chandler. She was 69.
She was born on December 3, 1930, to Mattison and Ruby Jane Snow Kittley.
She was a graduate of Gordon Cooper nursing school and lived in Chandler for more than 20 years.
In 1978 she married Lester McGinnis and worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years. She also worked as an emergency medical technician for more than 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Lorrie and Scott Mackenzie of Sparta, New Jersey; Lisa Troxell of Shawnee; two sisters, Linda Davis of Eufaula; and Matalie "Dee" Lansdale; two brothers, Claude Kittley and Larry Kittley, both of Oklahoma City; and four grandchildren, Amanda Campbell, Michael Campbell, Ross Mackenzie and Katie Mackenzie.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Chandler.
The Rev. Tom Holland will officiate under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
