LeROY McCONNEL
1921 - 2009


LeRoy McConnel passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009 in Hamilton, Texas at the age of 93 years.
The son of the late John McConnel and Stella Mae Barnard McConnel, LeRoy was born on December 10, 1915 in Lincoln County.
He was united in marriage to Margaret Lucille Tennent on August 2, 1936 in Claremore, Oklahoma.
LeRoy had worked as a hotel manager before retiring and eventually moving with his wife to Hico, Texas.
Survivors include his wife Lucille of the home; one daughter, Delores Chancellor and her husband Don of Hico, Texas; one son, Donald McConnel and his wife Judy of West Branch, Iowa; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 24, 2009 in the Parkland Cemetery.
