EURA DAIN MATTINGLY
1935 - 2011


Eura Dain Mountcastle Mattingly, "G. G.", 76, was born March 7, 1935 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Irvin Mountcastle and Nettie Scott.
She passed away peacefully Thursday in the Chandler Nursing Center with her family at her side.
She was raised in Binger, Oklahoma by her Grandmother and mom.
G. G. was a telephone operator in Oklahoma City but more importantly was a homemaker.
She married Jess Mattingly in January 1954 and raised two daughters together.
She was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church, and active in many church and civic organizations.
She watched and cared for many children, and enjoyed substituting at the school. Everybody knew her as G. G. and loved her dearly.
G. G. was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Irv Mountcastle; grandmother, Frances Scott; and grandson, Dylan Matthew Swindell.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda and her husband Stephen Smith of Oklahoma City; Barbara and her husband Doug Swindell of Wellston; five grandsons and their wives, Lance and Lori Robertson; Derek and April Stanley; Adam and LaShelle Stanley; Dustin and Ashley Swindell and Ryan and Laura Swindell; twelve great grandchildren; and special best friend, Jewel Gilbert of Wellston.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Wellston with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
