IMA DEAN MANNING
1932 - 2011


Ima Dean Melton Manning was born April 9, 1932, in Meeker and departed this life Saturday, May 21, 2011, in Shawnee at the age of 79.
She was the daughter of James Charles and Lucy Florence Guinn Melton and was a resident of Meeker most of her life.
She graduated from Meeker High School with the class of 1949.
She met Gerald V. Manning through a Pen Pal Club and they were married August 28, 1952, in Shawnee. He preceded her in death July 30, 1991.
Ima was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Church of Christ attending both Thompson Heights Church of Christ and Meeker Church of Christ.
Her parents, sister, grandson, daughter-in-law and son-in-law also preceded Ima in death.
Survivors include son, Danny Manning, of Parkland; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and William Logan, of Chandler; Debbie Manning, of Shawnee; Sherri Weatherly, of Tecumseh; Charla Manning, of Meeker; Sharon Manning, of Oklahoma City; and Amy and Richard McCorkle, of Guthrie; fourteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Viewing and visitation were at noon, Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Parks Brothers Chapel in Meeker.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, at the Meeker Church of Christ with Doyle Loveland officiating.
Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
