CHARLES WAYNE MANNING
1951 - 2009


The funeral for Charles Wayne Manning, 57, of Lahoma, will be 2:00 p.m. today, January 31, 2009, in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Chandler.
The Rev. Rick Blackwell will officiate.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Disabled American Veteran Honor Guard.
Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born August 4, 1951, in Chandler to Dilliam Edward and Amy "Hellen" Mcginnis Manning and died Wednesday, January 28, 2009, in Lahoma.
He was raised and educated in Chandler.
He moved with his family to Enid in 1962 and finished high school in Cushing in 1969.
He enlisted in the Army in 1970, serving in the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart and several service ribbons before being honorably discharged in 1974.
He was a cross-country truck driver for more than 30 years, until the time of his death.
Surviving are one son, Jeremy Manning of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one daughter, Gabriel of Pensacola, Florida; three brothers, Gernie Green of Lahoma; Rick of Enid; and Gerald Green of Spanaway, Washington; three sisters, Monna Barrick of Mesa, Arizona; Carol James of Yukon; and Sandra Brewer of Arkadia; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
